LOOK good, feel good! This is an old adage that may sound like a cliché, but it holds true for everyone. When you look good on the outside, it is so much easier to also feel beautiful from within.

On February 25, at the Centrio event center, there will be a first ever Skin&Beauty Expo that celebrates and focuses on pampering and self-love through the means of make-up and beauty products.

A first-ever event of this kind for our town, this whole day expo is spearheaded by Atty. Beda Joy Elot, who also happens to be a certified public accountant and an entrepreneur. One of her babies is the N&B Beauty Product Distributor Incorporated, which distributes a wide array of beauty products for everyone to enjoy. A strong woman indeed empowers other women. We all live in this world, where negativity and problems abound. And the way to counter them is to continue to lift each other up.

She said: “The expo is our company’s way of reviving the hair and makeup shows that used to be envogue in CDO. Through the years, they have diminished and died. We want to bring it back because having something like this is also a way for people to learn about current beauty trends and also to learn from the free workshops and demos. Everyone deserves a chance to look their best!”

Over the past weekend, they had their press launch hosted by the indefatigable Marge Velasquez, part-time ABS-CBN host and also a businesswoman, at the Espressini Cafe, CTC. They introduced us to N&B company’s various products. Team Amega, comprised of different image stylists, was at the helm of the make-up demonstration. One of them is my make-up artist acquaintance, JieJie Aisa, who did a demo on the spot to show all the guests how easy it is to glam-up with their various products.

Some of these products are industry staples like Be Mi for Loreal and Matrix, which are often seen in salons. There are also palettes and assorted pieces from MakeUpWorld. Atty Beda’s N&B company also represents Sprint Asia, with brands like Orly, Spa Organic, Temptu Airbursh, and Depilive under its banner. They also handle Gurlavi and Mc Dell. The latter is a cosmetics company that is responsible for their organic Korean skincare line.

Atty Beda said: “This beauty expo is a free whole day event where Kagay-anons can learn about the latest beauty and skincare regimen. We encourage everyone to come. Not just women, but men too because we have products for everyone. For example, if you’re allergic to the ammonia and peroxide in hair dye, we have an organic product counterpart that doesn’t use these harsh chemicals. Skincare products are also diversified for men and women. Discounts and freebies will be given throughout the day of the expo.”

The highlight of the press launch was the introduction of their expo ambassadors, who are personalities and influencers of our town. These women shall be walking down the runway to display the various products under Atty. Beda’s N&B company. She has exclusive distributorship for Northern Mindanao of the aforementioned brands. This fashion show will happen late in the afternoon, and it is going to be the culminating event of the Skin&Beauty Expo.

If you’re a woman, please drop by at the Centrio Event Center on February 25, which happens to be a holiday commemorating the People Power Revolution. If you’re a man, it is strongly encouraged that you give the opportunity for the woman in your life to primp and prettify. Because a strong, good man wants his girl to shine! See you there.
