Actress opens up about sharing home with non-showbiz bf

ACTRESS Empress Schuck admitted to rumors that she is living with her non-showbiz partner.

Schuck, 26, announced that she is, in fact, currently living with her non-showbiz boyfriend, Vino Guingona. Schuck and Guingona have been together for four years now, according to Pep.ph.

According to Empress, they are currently happy living together with her boyfriend – who’s a son of politician in Zamboanga.

“We’re okay po. We’re still together, we’re happy. Hindi pa kami kasal,” she said in an interview.

According to her, she and Guingona made the decision due to their problem of being in a long distance relationship since Guingona was living in Zamboanga.

“Opo. Pero kasi ano, e, based siya sa Zamboanga, so parang LDR kami. Every month po siya umuuwi dito sa Manila.”

People now ask whether or not they plan to get married since their relationship is already that long and due to Athalia, their three-year-old girl. However, Empress said that they are still working on talking about it.

“Opo naman. Siyempre kami na, family na kami, pero siyempre hindi pa pinag-uusapan. Kasi ayaw naming magpadala sa pressure just because madmai nagtatanong: ‘Bakit hindi na lang kayo magpakasal para matapos na, diba?”

According to Schuck, they want to carefully plan this next step because of the couple’s history of unplanned experiences in their lives. Empress shared the example of their child’s birth.

“Kasi when we had the baby, it wasn’t planned, biglaan. Siyempre magpa-family ka, kung magbi-baby ka kailangan planado, e. It’s just that, nagkamali kami noong time na yun.”

In addition, Empress also stated that getting married is an important thing to her and should be carefully planned and prepared for.

“So, kapag may isang gagawin kaming importanteng bagay, which is yung marriage na importante. Sana naman this time, kailangan planuhin natin. Bigyan natin ng importance talaga. So, sana we’re going to make it right this time. So, kailangan ani kami, buo yung loob namin, planuhin talaga naming. Ayaw naming gawin just because napi-pressure lang kami.”

According to her, it depends on her career for the perfect time to get married. (Von Daniel R. Plasencia, USC intern)
