FEBRUARY 15, 2019 (Friday): Presidential Daughter “Inday Sara” Duterte, leader of Hugpong ng Pagbabago (HNP), visited Baguio City and Baguio HNP.
Inday Sara, who is the Davao City mayor, was welcomed to the city and to HNP Baguio by HNP Baguio leaders Engr. Antonio “Tony Boy” Tabora (former Baguio City councilor and city vice mayor and now for city mayor) and by Peter Rey Bautista (former Baguio City mayor and now for city congressman).
HNP leader Sara Duterte was also welcomed to the HNP get-together at the Palace Hotel by the HNP Baguio line-up: Councilor Peter Fianza (now for vice mayor); and veteran journalist and United Nations public information officer Aurora Alambra; and former city councilor Fred Bagbagen and Robin Coteng (for city councilors).
Among the well-wishers from Benguet were Vice Governor Florence Tingbaoen and Board Member Bernard Waclin; and the following municipal mayors – Kibungan Mayor Cesar Kulitas, Kabayan Mayor Gideon Tudiano, Tuba Mayor Ignacio Rivera, Bokod Mayor Thomas Wales Jr., and Sablan Mayor Arthur Baldo.
HNP Baguio was visited as well by re-electionist Senator JV Ejercito and former Philippine National Police (PNP) chief "Bato" dela Rosa who is running for senator.
Also attending the HNP gathering were other government officials, non-government organizations, and various sectors and supporters from Baguio City, Benguet, Ifugao and other Cordillera provinces.
Pondo sa Pagbabago at Pag-Asenso
February 11, 2019: The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) has unveiled its latest program named dubbed “P3” to several members of a women’s group in the city.
DTI Assistant Secretary for Special Concerns Ameena Fajardo discussed the national government's P3 program, and services and livelihood to the Kalipi (Kalipunan Ng Mga Liping Pilipina) members from all over the city.
Assisting DTI Asec Fajardo were officials from the DTI Small Business Corporation and DTI Baguio-Benguet, who informed the women’s federation forum on the National Government's "Pondo Sa Pagbabago at Pag-asenso" (P3) Program and Other Services.
The Kalipi members, who trooped from all over the city to the forum venue at Palace Hotel, were informed of the DTI's micro business loans of P5,000 to P200,000 with minimal interest of 2.5 percent per annum.
The women’s livelihood forum was initiated by Engr. Antonio "Tony Boy" Tabora, former Baguio City councilor and vice mayor, currently operational consultant of the Cagayan Economic Zone Authority (CEZA).
