Thea, Mikoy back together after 1-year breakup

THEA Tolentino admitted to being reconciled with Mikoy Morales after a one-year breakup.

She revealed this in an exclusive interview with entertainment media Pep.ph after the taping of Asawa ko, Karibal Ko Thursday, February 21.

When asked if she was dating anyone at the moment, she hinted by replying, “Not available.”

This was later followed up by a query if they got back together with Morales. Instead, she smiled and said “hindi ko po alam (I don’t know yet),” at the media.

“Tignan niyo na lang po, follow niyo po ako sa Instagarm, @theatolentino,” she said with a laughter.

In her account, she posted a picture where she and Morales were sitting together in one chair. She added this with another picture showing her holding a bouquet of flowers. In this post, she captioned:

“Eh nasa Cebu ka...”

According to Tolentino, they weren’t together during Valentine’s Day because Morales was in Cebu. However, the latter managed to send a bouquet of flowers to Tolentino for Valentine’s.

She and Morales separated last August 2017 after a four-year relationship. However, in 2018, she revealed that they were back together. She also stated that it was just in a snap and Morales didn’t need to woo her back.

“Bigla na lang ulit, last year,” she said about their getting back together. “Walang ganun, bigla lang po talaga,” she said as they talked about how Morales got her back.

Moreover, she said that it was able to work out again because they were best friends and it wasn’t easy to not always care about each other. She said that because of their friendship with each other that made them comfortable to open-up and still talk despite breaking up.

In terms of critics saying that their relationship is messy, Tolentino stated that it’s because they didn’t put a label on it and just worked things out.

“Napapag-usapan namin na parang, hindi naman kailangan ng label, kasi as long as nagkakaintindihan kayong dalawa (We’ve been talking, a label is not needed as long as we understand each other),” she stated. (Von Daniel R. Plasencia, USC intern)
