THE Pampanga Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Inc. (PamCham) on Thursday, February 21, held their first business matching or B2B for 2019 and bared what they have planned for the month of March at the Best Western Bendix Hotel here.

“Last month, I requested a consultation meeting with PamCham members and from that activity, we determined that there is indeed a clamor for constant communication and productive interaction between and among our members. The members who attended the consultation also made it known that we consider it important for the chamber to foster camaraderie, build sustainable relationships and establish affinity between and among the members. At the end of the meeting, we committed to make that happen through constant and regular business promotion activities like our monthly business matching sessions and committee meetings,” PamCham president Rene Romero said.

Romero noted that the business matching sessions promote the members’ businesses and enhance their network, while committee meetings will take care of PamCham’s advocacies for the promotion and protection of the interest and welfare of the members' businesses.

“This afternoon’s activity is our 23rd business matching held in the span of two years. The first was in January 15, 2016 which was then participated in by just 10 attendees from nine companies and was held at the small conference room of PamCham’s office in San Agustin. Today, the venue is grander, the preparations more elaborate and the attendance, as we can all see is considerably better. Remarkably inspiring and fulfilling for us, is the vast business connections established and interpersonal relationships enriched from these activities,” Romero furthered.

“Like all PamCham’s activities, we will continue to improve and enhance our business matching to benefit the most number of businesses in our community. You may have noticed that in the activity, we opened our doors to non-PamCham members. We are also particular to our local micro and small businesses because we hold in high regard, our obligation to assist, support, and uphold the welfare of our local and homegrown micro, small and medium entrepreneurs (MSMEs),” Romero added.

Romero said that the chamber wants to help MSMEs grow and enable them to graduate from micro businesses to small and medium enterprises and eventually become globally competitive mega conglomerates.

“This is PamCham’s formula for countryside development. We prime countryside business and in the process we generate employment, then we trigger economic development and ultimately, we contribute to nation building,” Romero said.

The upcoming PamCham events are the general membership meeting at the LausGroup Event Centre on March 14, tax seminar on March 28, leadership 2.0 training and mixers on March 29.
