FIVE Mindanao Professional Boxing Association (MinProba) titles are at stake as the Redemption 2 Bakbakan sa Braulio E. Dujali gets underway at 7 p.m. on March 5 at the Dujali gym in Davao del Norte.
The slugfest, headlining five MinProba fighters, is presented by Engr. Jilson Basang of MB Sports Promotion in coordination with LGU Braulio E. Dujali headed by Municipal Mayor Leah Marie Moral-Romano.
Olympian and former national boxing team mainstay Charly Suarez (1-0) of Davao del Norte will collide with Justin Cabarles (4-0) of Digos City for the vacant MinProba lightweight belt.
Marvilo “The King” Aballe (7-1-2) of Braulio E. Dujali, for his part, will take on Rocky Sardido (8-22-5) of Davao del Sur for the vacant MinProba featherweight title while Jhunrick Carcedo (3-1-0) of General Santos City will battle Romulo “Demon” Ramayan, Jr. of Valencia City in a welterweight title figth.
In other bouts, James Francis Buray (7-1-0) of Iligan City will challenge undefeated Muhammad Ashiq (6-0) of Singapore for the MinProba super featherweight title while Kim “Bonecrusher” Actub (7-9-1) of Iligan City will clash against Singaporean Nushahida Roselie (11-2-0) for the women’s super-bantamweight title.
Meanwhile, five bouts are featured in the undercard.
