SM CITY Bacolod held its annual joint tactical inspection on Friday, February 22.
The annual inspection, now on its 11th year, gathered the security force of the mall for a general inspection to display their readiness to safeguard the customers. It was participated by 110 guards.
Senior Superintendent Henry Biñas, officer-in-charge of Bacolod City Police Office, was the guest of honor.
Biñas commended the mall security personnel for their compliance with the security and safety guidelines. “They play an important role in safeguarding people and property in their area of assignment, especially in an establishment where a large number of people converge every day.”
The SM Emergency Response Team, a special unit under the mall’s resiliency program trained to handle emergency situations, demonstrated their emergency readiness through simulated scenarios which include rescue and first aid treatment.
For the guards, training and seminars were also provided.
“We want to keep our guards updated so they will have additional knowledge and have confidence in their job,” said Albus Alabe, SM senior assistant vice president for customer relations service. (CNC)
