TULIP Drive in Juna Subdivision is slowly cementing its self in the Davao City map as one of the primary food destinations here. Restaurants and cafes have popped up in the area with a variety of offerings diners can choose from.

One of the newest restaurants here is Brewfesco Cafe, located at the roofdeck of one of the new commercial buildings fronting the Fuente de Villa Abrille Subdivision.

Isa and I had dinner here on Friday night to see what they have to offer.

I love the ambiance of the place. I just love how you can lounge and enjoy the cool breeze while catching up and eating with your friends.

I arrived a couple of minutes earlier than Isa. While waiting, I ordered the Garlic Parmesan Fries (P100). It was an ok dish. The taste of oil overpowered the garlic and parmesan flavors. I wish it had more garlic powder or parmesan.

For dinner, we ordered Fried Soy Chicken (P195), Buffalo Shrimp (P199), Creamless Carbonara (P165), and Apple and Greens Salad (P150).

Personally, I think the Fried Soy Chicken was the best among the dishes that we ordered. It was flavorful and the chicken was not dry. However, the sauce on the side for the chicken was very sweet.

The Buffalo Shrimp was also pretty good. I like that the shrimp is already peeled. However, the glaze of the buffalo shrimp was borderline salty.

Brewfesco serves the traditional egg-based carbonara but I find it to be quite bland. I wish it had more salt or spices.

The Apple and Greens Salad was really good and refreshing. I love that they are generous with the candied walnuts.

Overall, we had a pleasant dinner here. While the food did not wow us, the restaurant is a great place to hangout with your friends.

Brewfesco Cafe is open daily from 11 a.m. to 12 midnight.
