THERE is no question that one of Seda BGC’s strengths is its location. The hotel is in a prime space at the center of the bustling Bonifacio Global City literally a few steps from everything – restaurants, retail shops, and the corporate offices. These make it an ideal place to stay when in Manila for business or leisure.

Like me, you’d be surprised to know it’s not only the hotel’s location that ranked high on its reviews. Seda BGC gets high grades for its service.

“The hotel’s low density gave us the opportunity to extend personalized service to our guests. Seda BGC was praised for its service efficiency. Its world-class standard has that distinct warmth of the Filipino hospitality,” shared Genny Puno, group communications manager of Seda hotels.

Seda BGC is flagship hotel of the Filipino-brand hospitality chain. When it opened in 1992 it was the only hotel one catering to global travelers in Taguig. The design of the 16-storey, 179 room establishment was fitted for its clientele: contemporary, sleek, no frills, facilities were simple and the rooms highly functional but comfortable. The look meant business but the warm hospitality was very evident.

Today, Taguig has grown exponentially and Seda has to keep up. To do so, a new 21-storey building will be opened soon. With two towers, Seda BGC will increase its room count to 342, which will include 48 serviced residences. Along with the new development will be the full-sized function room that can seat 250, a bigger Misto restaurant which will accommodate 300, an expanded swimming pool and a bigger lobby.

“The opening of the bigger hotels in the area addressed the need for the steadily growing demand for accommodations for business travelers in Taguig. On our side, we feel confident that we will still be able to maintain the occupancy rate we had through the years. We have a high guest return rate averaging to 42%. We have developed a relationship with our regular guests. It has reached a personal level where greetings between guests and staff are extended with names,” said Genny Puno.

“The challenge for us is the maintenance of the high-efficiency of service that we have been praised for. With a bigger establishment, we are no longer a boutique hotel, but we plan to keep the boutique-sized service Seda BGC is known for. We will make sure that highly regarded ingredient of hotel will stay.”

Seda BGC is at 30th Street corner 11th Avenue, Bonifacio Global City, Taguig, Philippines. Check out their website: www.sedahotels.com
