ABOITIZLAND unveiled its first model home at Amoa, its 60-hectare residential development located in Barangay Tamiao, Compostela, Cebu last Saturday, February 23.

The Ananda model is a single-storey unit that includes a living room, dining room, bathroom, kitchen and two bedrooms.

Amoa offers four other house models: The Aruna, a one-storey single detached unit, two-storey single detached units, Asta and Asha, and the two-storey townhouse, Amita.

Out of seven enclaves, they have opened three phases that feature 1,250 units, 900 of which are already sold. Out of these 900 units, they will turn over the first 200 units soon.

“Since we launched Amoa three years ago, it’s been experiencing pretty brisk sales take-up because here in the North Cebu area, there are no other developments of this scale,” said Aboitiz Land senior marketing manager Farah Mayol.

Mayol said that lots are priced between P1 million and P2.5 million while the house-and-lot units are priced between P2 million up and P5.5 million.

Their target buyers are the middle market range who are city dwellers but want spaces of their own.

She said the trend among developers is to sell condominium units. However, she noted that there are those who still prefer space for children to run around, which is why they look for house-and-lot developments.

Mayol said their clients are mostly locals and those supported by overseas Filipino workers.

Launched in October 2015, Amoa aims to offer premium lifestyle amenities and allow easy access to the comforts and advantages of urban life. It is two kilometers away from the beach while over 40 percent of the property is dedicated to open spaces.

Last year, AboitizLand introduced Amoa’s third residential enclave, Anila, which offers residents or vecinos homes located close to the ocean. It follows the project’s first two enclaves, Samira and Surya. (Jolissa Mae Taboada, USJ-R Intern)
