City of San Fernando kicks off women’s month celebration

THE City Government of San Fernando through its Women’s Month 2019 Executive Committee yesterday kicked off Women’s Month celebration in grand rites at the city hall.

Dubbed “Fernandinang Miyabe-abe, Mipapanantabe para Keng Panyulung,” the unveiling of the calendar of activities and a press conference at the Levi Panlilio conference room were also held.

“We prepared activities for the month of March for the women of the City of San Fernando,” Women’s Month Executive Committee chair Dr. Leticia Yap said.

The line-up of activities for the this year’s Women’s Month celebration include the barangay women consultative assemblies (February to March); the Buntis Summit on March 4 at the mini convention center of Heroes Hall at 8 a.m.

On March 5, the Kalipi general assembly will be held at the mini convention center of Heroes Hall at 8 a.m.

The launching of Japanese Encephalitis Mass Immunization Campaign will be on March 6 at the mini convention center of Heroes Hall at 8 a.m.

On March 7, water district ceremonial turnover of hand pumps for women’s group is at 9 a.m. at the City of San Fernando Water District/Prime Water compound

The women’s walk will be on March 8 that will start from South Point: Tagulud, Barangay San Nicolas to North Point: High School Boulevard, Barangay Lourdes at 5:30 a.m. Pampering, film showing, and paBINGO for women will also be on the same day at the mini convention center of Heroes Hall at 8 a.m.

The mommy and baby fair is on March 8 to 12 at Vista Mall Pampanga; responsible parenting seminar on March 12 (RHU 1), March 14 (RHU 2), March 19 (RHU 3), March 21 (RHU 4), and March 26 (RHU 5); upcycling training on accessories’ making on March 15 at the Tiburcio Hilario conference room at 1 p.m.

Also on March 15 is the LGU Inter Cluster cooking contest at 8 a.m. at the atrium; 6th health and wellness program for organized barangay women at the mini convention center of Heroes Hall at 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.; and Fernandino Mompreneur fair on March 15 to 17 at Vista Mall and on March 22 to 24 at Robinsons Starmills.

Technology forum on food product standardization will be on March 25 at the Department of Science and Technology Region III’s conference room at 8 a.m. onwards; Go Nego Kabuhayan showcase and trade fair in front of city hall on March 28 to 30; and roving academy on March 29 at the amphitheatre of Heroes Hall at 1 p.m.

The highlight of the celebration, the Women’s Sectoral Consultative Assembly, will take place on March 22 at the mini convention center of Heroes Hall at 8 a.m. (Nicole Renee David)
