CSF champions employees’ personal development

CITY of San Fernando Mayor Edwin “EdSa” Santiago led this year’s observance of Employees’ Day, an annual activity of the city government considered as an avenue for personal development of employees outside their workplaces.

Through the initiative of the City Human Resource Management Office (CHRMO), the activity was staged over the past week at Heroes Hall, where several indoor and outdoor competitions were held to test the employees’ mental and physical abilities.

Santiago, during his speech, reiterated his view on human resource management.

“I believe that human resource is the greatest among all the resources. We are doing this because we protect our employees here. We want their personalities to be developed because it helps them become productive at work,” Santiago said.

The celebration started with a parade of colors led by city officials and employees who were divided into four clusters: Blue Panthers, Yellow Eagles, Orange Buffalos, and Green Dragons.

The Palarong Empleyado also officially opened during the program.

“Laro ng Lahi”, which featured some Filipino traditional games like “patintero,” tug-o-war, “agawang panyo,” sack race, and Chinese garter, was also staged at the hall grounds, followed by a run of famous television game shows such as “Celebrity Bluff” and “Pera o Bayong.”

Other fun activities such as Bingo, bring me game, and raffle were correspondingly held.

The activity culminated through Ginoo at Binibining City Hall, where some fine ladies and gentlemen in the LGU showcased their personality, wit, and intelligence. (PR)
