P200,000 in drugs seized

MORE than P200,000 worth of illegal drugs were seized in separate drug raids in Negros Occidental from February 19 to 27.

On February 27, Angel Perez, 32, of Barangay Poblacion, Valladolid town was arrested in Barangay Mandalagan, Bacolod City after he allegedly yielded five sachets of suspected shabu (methamphetamine hydrochloride) weighing 10 grams worth P125,000.

Police also seized the P500 marked money, P200 in cash, and drug paraphernalia.

Perez, a newly-identified drug personality, is detained at Police Station 3.

Also in Bacolod City, Richard Diafante was arrested in Barangay Tangub, which resulted to the recovery of three sachets of suspected shabu worth P40,000, an improvised tooter, and the P200 marked money. He is detained at Police Station 8.

Also arrested in Barangay Villamonte was Raymund Parcon after police raided his house and seized from him a Super .38 colt pistol, magazine, seven live ammunition, three sachets of suspected shabu, two improvised tooters, rolled paper with suspected marijuana leaves, five scissors, six lighters, two cellular phones, an improvised foil, and P15,350 in cash. He is detained at Police Station 4.

Still in the city, Joseph Saul was arrested in Barangay 40 after police seized from him nine sachets of suspected shabu worth P8,000, and the P300 marked money. He is detained at Police Station 6.

Arrested in Barangay Mansilingan were Bon Jovi Umbao, a high-value target, and a drug surrenderer; and Rommel Laurilla, who is under the drugs watchlist, after police confiscated from them three sachets of suspected shabu worth P6,000, the P500 marked money, two lighters, an improvised tooter, and pouch.

The two suspects who are reportedly under the Cuadra drug group are detained at Police Station 7.

On February 26, Alfredo Diola Jr., 43, of Barangay Banquerohan, Cadiz City was arrested in the said village after he was allegedly caught in possession of four sachets of suspected shabu worth P3,500 and the P500 marked money.

On February 25, Marlon Evangelista, 34, of Barangay Nauhang, Sipalay City was arrested in the said village for alleged sale and possession of four suspected marijuana cigarettes, the P100 marked money, cellular phone, and P1,320 in cash.

On February 24, Michael Mission, 24, of Barangay Manghanoy in La Castellana town, a newly-identified drug personality, was arrested in Barangay Cabacungan.

Police confiscated four sachets of suspected shabu, two identification cards, cellular phone, and the P500 marked money.

In Escalante City, Jonel Amante, 29, of Barangay Hacienda Fe, a level two high-value target and alleged member of Bacus drug group was arrested in Barangay Balintawak after he allegedly yielded four sachets of suspected shabu and the P500 marked money.

On February 22, Mark Alegayda, 37, of Barangay Banago, Bacolod City was arrested in the said village which resulted to confiscation of three sachets of suspected shabu, the P200 marked money, and a coin purse.

Also arrested in Barangay Bata this city was Albert Fajardo, 32, of Barangay Banago; Sheila Mae Cordova, 30, of Barangay Granada after they allegedly yielded seven sachets of suspected shabu, P500 marked money and drug paraphernalia.

In Binalbagan town, Niño Dela Cruz, 30, of Barangay 4, Kabankalan City was arrested in a public market in Barangay San Pedro after he reportedly yielded two sachets of suspected shabu and the P300 marked money.

In Isabela town, John Paul Batallon, 35, of Barangay 6 was arrested after police recovered from him a sachet of suspected shabu, the P500 marked money, and P448 in cash.

On February 21, Lito Estacion and John Morillo were arrested in Barangay 30, Bacolod City after he allegedly yielded six sachets of suspected shabu worth P8,000 and the P500 marked money.

In Pontevedra town, Hazellyn Dela Cruz, 25, of Pulupandan town; Jose Edrian Moises, 20, of Binalbagan town; and Gerard De Ramos, 50, of Bacolod City were arrested which resulted to the recovery of two sachets of suspected shabu, the P15,000 boodle money, and a sports utility vehicle.

In Himamaylan City, Cyril Suarez, 38, of Barangay 4 was collared in the said village last Wednesday after police seized from him two sachets of suspected shabu worth P2,500, the P500 marked money, some drug paraphernalia, and P1,370 in cash.

In Bacolod City, Joshua Villaceran, 19, of Barangay Pahanocoy was arrested on the same day in Barangay Sum-ag which resulted to the recovery of six sachets of suspected shabu and the P500 marked money.

While on February 19, Julius Aldover, 22, of Barangay Bato, Sagay City was arrested in the said village which resulted to the confiscation of a sachet of suspected shabu and the P500 marked money. (GYM)
