VTWO graduates from University of Southeastern Philippines (Usep) made it to the top 10 of the February 2019 Mechanical Engineering Licensure Examination of the Professional Regulation Commission.
Justine Paul Geverola Padayao, who placed eighth in the recent licensure exam with 90.20 percent, said in an online interview with SunStar Davao yesterday, March 1, that he never expected to be among the topnotchers and that it overwhelms him.
Padayao said that he started reviewing since August 2017 to avoid difficulties in catching up with the lessons in the review center.
“Also I made sure na ang foundation sa akong pag review ay si God. I pray to God everyday na i-guide mi mga reviewees sa among journey ug unta maabot namo ang among mga pangandoy (I also pray to God everyday that he will guide us in our journey as reviewees to attain our goals),” he said.
He added that he was almost always mentally tired during his review period that made him for two weeks.
Padayao said he thanked God and his family for their support.
He also thanked his classmates and teachers in motivating him throughout his journey to become an engineer.
He plans to work first to support his family but still loves to serve in the community.
Along with Padayao, Kenth Capote Galendez, his batchmate, landed ninth after earning 90.15 percent.
Jayson Perez from University of Batangas (UB) topped the exam with 92.40 percent followed by Rau Lance Cunanan of Mindanao State University-General Santos City (91.40) in second, Gilbert John Moreno also of MSU-GSC (90.65) third and Jett-Neil Masurong (90.60) fourth.
