NOT many student-friendly coffee shops in Davao City offer a good cup of coffee. However, 4th Street Cafe is set to change that.
Once tucked within a commercial compound along Guerrero Street, the coffee shop is set to move to a much bigger space along Juan Luna Street.
On Thursday, February 28, 2019, the coffee shop held a soft launch for its new location. During the launch, it presented to the guests and members of the media the new features of the branch.
During a tour at the new coffee shop, 4th Street Cafe owner Joenar Bryan H. Ponce also said they will be able to cater to more customers. At their current location, the cafe has 10 tables that can seat around 40 people. But at the new location, they will be able to cater to around 100 customers.
Ponce also said they may adjust their operating hours to meet the demands of their clients. He hinted that they may open the cafe earlier or if there is a demand, they may open for 24 hours. At present, their business hours is from 11 a.m. to 3 a.m.
The company said in a statement that their new location will have better interiors, ventilation, and amenities to cater to not only the students in the area but also other customers of different backgrounds.
Its new location will feature a function room that can cater to 20 individuals. It will also have a mini-bakery.
During the launch at their current location along Guerrero Street, a cupping session was conducted by Sniff Coffee Roaster. The roastery also supplies coffee to the coffee shop.
The guests had a chance to experience different kinds of coffee the roastery prepared.
Tawag Tanghalan three-time defending champion Janine Cartagena also performed for the guests.
4th Street Cafe’s new store along Juan Luna Street will open on March 8, 2019.
