PORAC -- Scholars from Villa Maria Integrated School composed and dedicated a song and poem for Vice Governor Dennis 'Delta' Pineda for his extensive support to the education of the Aeta youth.

They also handed Pineda a handmade necklace which was made of bengala and bangcal, as well as to Lubao Mayor Mylyn Pineda-Cayabyab who represented Governor Lilia “Nanay” Pineda, and Board Member Fritzie David-Dizon.

Edwina Dela Cruz, who personally wore the necklace on the vice governor, thanked him for assuring that every Aeta receives quality education with the continuous programs implemented by the Provincial Government.

Vanessa Camaya, also an Aeta student from this school, shared that she experienced discrimination, but felt acceptance from officials and Kapampangans when her family transferred in the province and received help from the Provincial Government.

The Aeta scholars belong to the Educational Financial Assistance Program (EFAP) beneficiaries, facilitated by the Provincial School Library led by Bessie Makabali.

Some 890 students in this town received P2, 500 each for the scholarships.

Vice Governor Pineda took this trust and gratitude as an inspiration to strive harder as a public servant.

In the poem titled “Pasasalamat,” Aeta scholars called the vice governor "kuya."

According to them, they felt the sense of belongingness and family with the Pineda administration.

Also assisting Pineda in the scholarship distribution were Provincial Council members, Porac Vice-Mayor Dexter David and City Council members.
