MEMBERS of the Green Ranchers Club of the University of Saint La Salle (USLS) - Bacolod Agribusiness Department bagged two awards in the recent 11th Agri-Related Work Conference of the Future Leaders of the Philippines.
The four-day activity held at Aklan State University in Aklan until March 1 was participated by 20 schools in Western Visayas offering agriculture courses.
Erben Boyayot won second place in fertilizer computation while Christine Pabillo bagged the third place award in animal science research proposal.
Other delegates of the school were Sheane Leandro Yanson and Christopher Gaston.
Bea Emma Bachinela, the group’s adviser, said this is the second year USLS-Bacolod Agribusiness Department has joined the conference.
The school also won two medals in 2018.
Bachinela said as a new member of the Future Leaders of the Philippines, they have the fewest number of delegates among all participating schools.
“It shows that USLS can compete. It takes a lot of review, focus and heart to win,” she said, adding that ‘agristrong’ is the department's motto.
