Why put 2 clamps on vehicles in no-park zones?

PERSONNEL from the Cebu City Transportation Office (CCTO) attach two clamps on wheels of vehicles parked in a no-parking zone on a case-to-case basis.

CCTO operation head Francisco Ouano said they often use just one clamp for each violator.

There were instances, however, when two clamps were attached to the wheels of a vehicle after the CCTO personnel noticed that one of the clamps was loose.

Ouano said there is a roving team that clamps vehicles, while there is another group that holds the key to the clamp.

Recently, two clamps were attached to the wheels of a vehicle parked in the no-parking zone in Barangay Quiot.

The picture of the vehicle was posted on Facebook by Councilor Pastor Alcover Jr.

“Sobra ra gyud ka abusado mga tawo ni Tommyrot! Tomas pa more!” Alcover’s caption on the post read. (Tomas Osmeña’s people are really too abusive!)

Alcover’s post has gained 87 reactions, 25 comments and 40 shares since Saturday, March 2.
