CPOSCO to tow illegally parked vehicles

DRIVERS parking their vehicles illegally on major thoroughfares are warned: the City Public Order and Safety Coordinating Office (CPOSCO) here will be strictly implementing towing activities illegally on parked vehicles.

CPOSCO head Danilo Bautista said they are closely monitoring the Jose Abad Santos Avenue and MacArthur Highway, especially during night time, to ensure that they are traffic and obstruction free.

He said that CPOSCO is deploying two patrol vehicles to regularly check on the said two major thoroughfares and implement proper measures to disobedient drivers, passersby and vendors.

“We have two patrol vehicles that are designated to monitor the area 24/7, even night time because there are trucks that are making the streets their parking area. Also, those private individuals which make use of the streets for their personal parking space,” he stressed.

Bautista, meanwhile, disclosed that they are seeking to improve the implementing rules and regulations for towing activities to put more teeth on the measure and ensure that it can serve its purpose of freeing the thoroughfares from any obstruction.

“We are looking into improving it so it can keep up with our updated measures on traffic rules and regulations, and we are also coordinating with towing companies along with these,” he added.
