A MOTORCYCLE driver died while two others were injured in a multiple-vehicular collision at Bacolod-Silay Access Road in front of Hacienda Mana-ul, Barangay Matab-ang, Talisay City Monday, March 4.
Police identified the fatality as Lorenzo Ledoma III, 25, of Barangay Alijis, Bacolod City.
Also wounded were Eduardo Soberano, 38, of Barangay 21, Victorias City, and Rebecca Gegantoni, 38, of Barangay Tabigue, E.B Magalona.
Investigation showed that at 7:45 a.m., Gegantoni, who was driving her Mitsubishi Adventure towards South direction, tried to overtake a motorcycle she was tailing but lost control and occupied the opposite lane and hit the motorcycle driven by Ledoma.
The vehicle also hit the motorcycle driven by Soberano, who was traveling towards North direction at the outer lane.
Both drivers fell to the ground. Ledoma sustained severe head injury and was brought to Corazon Locsin Montelibano Memorial Regional Hospital, but he did not survive while Soberano sustained minor injuries in his left elbow and right hand.
Due to the impact of the collision, Gegantoni also sustained injury in her right leg and was brought to the Queen of Mercy Hospital in Bacolod City. (MAP)
