The 31-year-old sister of Consolacion's alleged "shabu queen" was gunned down after she disembarked from a taxi cab in Sitio Caimito, Barangay Labogon, Mandaue City on Wednesday night, March 6.

The victim, Janelyn Encila, 31, was identified by police as the sister of Jocelyn "Joy" Encila, who was arrested in Consolacion town on Sunday, March 3, after police recovered more than 10 kilograms of illegal drugs from her possession.

Investigators of the Basak Police Station in Mandaue City said the incident happened at 7:15 p.m.

Police Major Ramil Morpos, Basak Police Station chief, said Encila was onboard a taxi cab with a friend and had disembarked when two men onboard a motorcycle suddenly blocked her.

One of the two men pulled a pistol and shot Encila several times before fleeing.

Morpos told Superbalita Cebu there is a possibility the suspects were already tailing Encila before she was gunned down.

Investigation is ongoing.(From FMD of Superbalita Cebu/JKV)
