Livelihood training programs continue

ANOTHER livelihood training program of Representative Ma. Isabelle Climaco-Salazar aimed to uplift the economic condition of her constituents kicked off in Zamboanga City.

The one-week massage therapy training for the resident of Sitio Uwak, Barangay San Roque was launched last Tuesday and is in line with Salazar’s continuous partnership with the Technical Education Skills Development Authority (Tesda).

Salazar said the San Roque batch of trainees is the latest group of beneficiaries for the training activities aimed to help people cope with the economic crisis.

Salazar said it is essential for the people to have knowledge on numerous income-generating activities in order to ensure the well-being of the family members amid the economic crisis.

She said the livelihood training is in line with her advocacy to empower women, especially the mothers, to help in earning income for the family.

“Life nowadays is getting more difficult in such that people need to find ways and means on how to earn a living,” she said.

The livelihood training programs are implemented through the allocated fund for the Tesda Regional Office, Salazar said. (Bong Garcia)
