NAILHAN ug nakoronahan na ang labing una nga Reyna Davaoeña, sa kompetisyon nga gihimo, Biyernes, Marso 8, sa Almendras Gym, dakbayan sa Davao.
Kini ang unang pageant alang transgender women sa siyudad nga kabahin sa mga kalihukan subay sa selebrasyon sa 82nd Araw ng Dabaw.
Anaa sa 30 ka kandidata ang nagtigi sa korona, diin matag usa kanila bitbit ang adbokasiya, sagad niini ang anti-discrimination campaign, kinatibuk-ang pagdawat kanila sa sosyodad.
Sa 30 ka mga contestants, nasentro ang tanan sa mi-reyna nga si Rojean M. Buhian sa Calinan.
Gipalakpakan og maayo ang tubag ni Buhian sa final question and answer portion rason sa iyang kadaugan.
“As a transwoman, what for you is the single biggest issue the LGBTQ community faces and how do you think it should be addressed?”
Nga iyang gitubag og: “I think the biggest issue is discrimination. That is very true. But not discrimination towards the single of the straight community but the discrimination to the LGBTQ community itself. We always say ‘Stop Discrimination’ ‘Stop criticizing’ but we as part of the LGBT, we also criticize our brothers and sisters in our community. I think it should be addressed and of course we need to remember that each one of us has own diversity and diversity is really beautiful. I proudly say to all of you that transgender women are the real unicorns - our ability to strive, to drive, to claim our space of worth is a lesson and enlightenment.”
Napili sab nga first runner up si Reyna Catalunan Grande Jeysyn Ramos ug si Reyna Toril Anne M. Fernandez ang second runner up.
Samtang ang mga mihakoy sa major awards mao sila: Miss Photogenic - Reyna Marilog Princess G. Bermas; Best in Talent - Reyna Panacan Ariana Nicole F. Aguitong ; Miss Congeniality - Reyna Talomo Sarah G. Ronquillo; Best in Creative Wear - Reyna S.I.R Sandawa Angel D. Gomera;
Best in Mindanoan Inspired and Best in Evening Gown - Reyna Calinan Rojean M. Buhian.
Ang kompetisyon gisaksihan mismo ni Davao City Mayor Inday Sara Duterte Carpio.
Giisponsoran sa City Mayor’s Office (CMO), ang big winner mibitbit og P200,000.
Samtang ang runner-up midawat og P150,000; third placer, P100,000.
May consolation prizes sab alang ngadto sa non-winners.
