Y-Speak: Never underestimate time

TIME is just a number, same as the age, height, distance and weight. It can change someone’s life in just one snap or a second. Time is precious. Some say time is gold and there is still enough time to do such things. But are you sure that you already maximized your life using the given time from Him?

Time flies by so fast. In 2005, you are still a kid who only wants to play outside then cries because of a wound. People around you are always saying you grew up so fast. Is it you or the clock is ticking fast?

During this time frame, a lot has happened as the people and the environment change. Most of your childhood friends have their own lives now, some are already married and some are still working on their career.

Everything can change in just a short period of time, everything you treasure in your life will walk away from you or stay. But as you grow older you now understand how important time is.

Before you take for granted those people who care for you but when maturity hits, you start to treasure them.

In that duration somehow you got matured and gained experiences in life. You learned to treasure your parents more and spend quality with them at home. You choose to have a much more peaceful life as you pick friends you trust and close to your heart.

You learn to not depend your happiness to other people because happiness is a choice. People come and go. Therefore you will experience heartaches and happiness.

Time is just a couple of numbers but it has a great impact in everyone’s life. You just need to know how to spend it well with people you love, do not waste it with something that will make you regret in the future. Use your time wisely and never take advantage of those people who choose to spend their time with you. (Erika B. Ramos, UM intern)
