IT SEEMS like Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte-Carpio’s tirade against Vice President Leni Robredo is far from over.
The presidential daughter slammed Robredo anew Sunday, March 10, for having “fake courage” and hiding behind her alliance.
Duterte-Carpio made the statement after the Vice President’s camp lambasted her for her reaction to Robredo’s remark on the importance of honesty and integrity in politicians seeking public office.
“A reminder to Leni Robredo: Kapag umatake ka, at sinagot ka ng inatake mo to question your authority to speak on integrity and honesty, do not retreat behind a ‘Robredo Camp’ to answer for you and the argument you started,” Duterte-Carpio said.
Duterte-Carpio, who is also the chairman of regional party Hugpong ng Pagbabago, earlier said that Robredo must avoid commenting about honesty and integrity given that she is facing an electoral protest for supposed massive fraud during the 2016 elections.
“She is not called fake VP for no reason. She has tried to copy her late husband but has failed at every turn. She is facing an electoral protest for massive fraud during the 2016 elections,” she said, adding that Robredo even refused to answer allegations of her relationship with a married man.
She also stressed that Robredo must also abandon her dreams of becoming the President if she will insist on honesty as a requirement for those seeking public posts.
Robredo said honesty must be a given trait for those aspiring for a public office.
