Things to consider before entering into a relationship

RELATIONSHIPS need to be prioritized and balanced—you should be prepared before making the person you have your eyes on your official lover. Meaning you have to be physically, socially, mentally, emotionally and financially prepared. Some relationships break due to unpreparedness, miscommunication, and lack of loyalty to each other. Do you have what it takes to start a relationship and make it healthy?

Here are few things to consider before entering in one:

1. You should always look out for yourself.

Martyrdom only exists in the past. You should always give yourself a great amount of attention not only because you have to take care of yourself but it’s also because you deserve it. Treat yourself, buy yourself your favorite dish, take yourself to the mall, or give yourself a day for a grand movie marathon.

2. Studies/work first!

Relationships are great, yes, but your career matters more. Your career secures at least 95% of your future, and it does not require anything else but a happy mind to prolong it. Your career can give you the relationship you’ve ever needed so you just have to wait until it comes naturally.

3. Look after your family.

Your family should always be your priority, regardless if it is with your social, mental or emotional needs, they are your helping hand, so be a helping hand to them as well!

4. Find your passion.

If your passion involves a romantic partner, there could be a big chance that you’re out of luck, but if it’s an actual passion, like art, gaming, reading, knowledge etc., it’s a good step towards having a brighter future.

5. Be the best with the best of your friends!

They’re your second family, without a doubt. You can share everything you can share then for as long as you trust them. They will always be there whenever you need them, even if it involves your crush being married to someone else but you!
