Northern Mindanao’s 3 teen queens

THE three lovely ladies who will represent Northern Mindanao in the national stage of Miss Teen Philippines 2019 were finally named as the regional search concluded last Sunday, March 11.

Cheers echoed throughout the event center of SM CDO Downtown Premier as Francine Gamboa of Valencia City, Bukidnon; Nikki de Moura and Kamyll Pla from Cagayan de Oro City were crowned as the top three Miss Teen Philippines 2019 Northern Mindanao.

Apart from being crowned, Gamboa and De Moura also received special awards such as the Miss League Magazine and Miss Photogenic, respectively.

Kia Cañete, who represented Misamis Oriental, also won the Best in Short Formal Attire.

The short formal attire worn by the fifteen candidates were created by Kagay-anon designers under the Oro Fashion Designer’s Guild.

Gamboa, De Moura and Pla will be representing the region as they compete for the chance to be a youth ambassador and be crowned as the Miss Teen Philippines 2019, with the coronation night set on April 13 at the Maybank Performing Arts Theater in Taguig, Metro Manila.

In addition to the title, the Miss Teen Philippines 2019 will also bring home P300,000 worth of cash prize. The first runner-up will receive P200,000 and the Miss Teen Philippines - Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao will each get P100,000.

Miss Teen Philippines, founded in 2004, is the country’s first-ever original pageant in the search for the beautiful, talented and articulate Filipina teen who can be a role model for the youth, providing inspiration to members of her generation in valuing education and see it as an enabler to get ahead in life and be globally ready in a field of expertise they choose as its primary goal is to promote global readiness through education.
