ANTI-NARCOTICS operatives killed in a drug bust Monday evening, March 11, a “big supplier” of party drugs in Metro Manila.

Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) Special Enforcement Service Director Levi Ortiz said John Steve Pasion was slain after he allegedly tried to fight it out with PDEA agents during a drug bust.

“He attempted to grab the firearm of one of the operatives and managed to grab his (suspect) firearm,” said Ortiz in a report.

Also arrested during the operation was Pasion’s girlfriend, Irene Mercado.

Seized from the suspect were a kilogram of "shabu" (methamphetamine hydrochloride) with an estimated worth of P6 million, three bottles of liquid ecstasy with a street value of P75,000, 15 tablets of ecstasy worth P30,000, and other drug paraphernalia.

Also recovered were cellular phones containing sensitive videos of drugged women.

Ortiz said Pasion even managed to break one of his phones that allegedly contained more information about his illegal transactions.

He said Pasion has “regular clients” -- a movie and television actor and actress whom he refused to name.

Ortiz said the two artists were getting as much as 200 tablets of ecstasy.

“It's either nagpaparty sya (artista) binibigay nya pero ang problema kahit hindi ka nagsesell, kapag binibigay mo yan, distribution na yan. Non-bailable pa din yan,” he said. (SunStar Philippines)
