Makeup artist to Korean stars like Jo Dong-hyuk (“Bad Guys,” “Inspiring a Generation”), Jinah Oh brings the luxurious salon de beauté to a whole new level with her dreamy pink chic beauty salon called TFM (Time for Myself) Beauty Cebu.
Entering the salon, one will be directed to its posh lounging area with a table with magazines, and a family computer, to keep the husbands, boyfriends or children entertained while waiting for their wives, girlfriends or mothers. Beside it is an area dedicated to its nail services. One can spot a big shelf full of nail art designs, nail accessories such as Swarovski stones, nail tools, different varieties of nail polish with over 200 colors to choose from, and a long manicure table. One may also sit on one of its comfortable pedicure chairs.
Steps away from the nail services area is a vanity table with an LED framed mirror and chock-full of makeup from trusted brands. This is where the magic of makeup transformation happens from enhancing facial aesthetics to creating custom looks. One will definitely feel like a star once you sit on the makeup chair. On the right side is a fancy hair station with gold framed full-length mirrors in front of every chair, allowing clients to see and get involved with the whole creative process.
As a hair expert, Jinah shared some tips on how to take good care of hair and that includes washing and shampooing it every night before going to sleep. “I noticed that most people shampoo their hair every other day because that’s what most hair stylists asked them to do. But skipping shampoo every night is like sleeping without removing your makeup,” she said. One should also wash the hair with cold water using mild shampoo as warm water can cause breakage.
Beside this station is a room for eyelash extension, microblading and body piercing.
“The reason why I included piercing is because I want to raise an awareness that needles are more safer than gun piercing. I want to change the stereotype that piercing is a sign of being rebellious. It’s more like accessories.”
Aside from all the posh services and equipment, a glass of hot or cold brewed coffee, or a cup of tea paired with a Korean chocolate sandwich, are served for a more relaxing session. Then, a cheerful playlist of songs can be heard on the salon’s speakers, making the overall salon experience a pleasant one for guests.
Being in the beauty industry for seven years, and receiving different certificates from beauty workshops and classes, Jinah makes sure that her beauty salon will continue to offer the latest and the best services with updated gadgets, new and finest techniques and beauty products, as she aims to make everyone beautiful for the rest of her life.
