MULTI-TITLED Hanah Taekwondo Gym continues to develop quality players as four of its top jins get the right to represent Western Visayas in the 2019 National Private Schools Athletic Association (Prisaa) competition in Davao City this coming May.

Living Stones International School standout Mary Angeline Alcantara, also the 2017 World Cadet Taekwondo Championships gold medalist, led her team after dominating the 46-49 kilograms (kgs) division.

Joining Alcantara in the top spot were Davon Pecha of John B. Lacson Colleges Foundation (45-48kgs), Riverside College’s Angeli Lesaguis (46-49kgs) and Jan Mickael Casana (80-87 kgs).

Meanwhile, winning silver medals were LSIS’ Kaizerr Mohametano (55-59kgs), and St. Scholastica’s Academy standouts Rolyn Jan Tolentino (44-46kgs) and Nea Marie Aplasca (49-52kgs).

Hanah head coach Vic Feria said that he is thankful to all his players’ efforts and sacrifices.

“Everything paid off. It’s not easy for us, but our players tried their best and followed the game plan,” he said. “My gratitude, as well, to all the parents for their trust and unwavering support to their kids.”
