FORMER senator and Liberal Party senatorial aspirant Mar Roxas will be in Bacolod City on Wednesday, March 13, for a series of meetings with various groups.

Roxas will visit Burgos Market in the morning, after which he will have a meeting with representatives from the women and youth sectors, the Church, and non-government and people’s organizations at the Villamonte Gym from 10a.m. to noon. He will also have a fellowship lunch with members of the media.

Before Bacolod City, Roxas was also in Dumaguete City in Negros Oriental on Tuesday, March 12.

Speaking before the leaders of Barangay Health Workers (BHWs) of Negros Oriental, Roxas acknowledged their crucial contribution to the health of a community.

Roxas believes that BHWs are the government’s physical arm in helping more people by giving free immunization, dispense maintenance medicines and conduct checkups.

Roxas also mentioned the need to formalize the employment status of BHWs.

Meanwhile, reelectionist Senator Juan Ponce Enrile is also set to arrive in Bacolod City for various activities on Saturday, March 16. He will reportedly meet some leaders in the sugar industry amid the issue of sugar liberalization to address the problem of the high price of sugar in the market. (TDE)
