WHISPERS are getting louder and louder that the most loved couple, Kathryn Bernardo and Daniel Padilla, have split up, especially that the former wrote a vague yet intriguing “open letter” which was published on Preview just recently.
In the Confessions of a Former Teen Queen: An Open Letter by Kathryn Bernardo, there was a part there where she wrote: “Of course, there’s no way I can talk about growth without mentioning DJ (Editor’s note: Kathryn’s on- and off-screen partner, Daniel Padilla) because he’s a big part of what makes me who I am today. He’s played a crucial role in helping me become not only a better actress but also a better person. Some of you might already be aware of this, but late last year, we made a mutual decision to not accept projects together this 2019. We both know it’s going to be tough for both of us and maybe even tougher for our fans, but we really gave it some thought, and while there’s nothing we want more than to make you happy, we’d appreciate if you can give us this year to pursue our individual growth this time around. It’s a risk, and I’d be lying if I told you that the idea does not scare me, but at the same time, I’m excited to discover what kind of opportunities await us both in this journey. Needless to say, DJ and I will still be here; I will always have his back in the same way that I know he always has mine. It’s just that, in the meantime, we want to support each other off-cam.”
Their split rumor started early last year when both of them posted photos in their social media account without each other.
Kathryn posted on her Instagram account a photo with her girl friend, but with a cryptic caption saying “Take Me Back”.
While Daniel’s photo with a girl also made waves in the internet through the Facebook account of the latter, who was later identified as Daniel’s die-hard fan, Chariss Jedidiah Gusay.
