Where to go in Davao City

DAVAO Region is host to a number of tourist destinations that continues to draw in tourists. Whether it is the beaches of Mati and Samal Island, the waterfalls and caves of Compostela Valley, or Mt. Apo in Davao del Sur, tourists have something to choose from.

Though Davao City may generally be the jump off point for these destinations, the city also has its fair share of tourist sites that one should visit. Here are some of the destinations you must go to whenever you visit Davao City.

Davao Crocodile Park & Zoo

For years, the Davao Crocodile Park and Zoo has fascinated its visitors with the wildlife you can find here. The park houses hundreds of crocodiles and other species like the African Grey Parrot, Flying Fox, Philippine deer, and Philippine long-tailed macaque, among others. The wildlife center also features a shows that can be enjoyed by the whole family like the Bird Show.

D' Bone Collector Museum

One of the iconic tourist spots in Davao City, D'Bone Collector Museum features an extensive collection of bones of different animals from different parts of the Philippines and even animals from other countries like that of a tiger and a cassowary. The musuem also has more than 50 sets of whale and dolphin bones with five being of sperm whales.

Location: San Pedro Ext., Bucana Boulevard.

Operating hours: Monday to Friday at 10am to 5pm and on Saturday from 1pm to 5pm

Malagos Garden Resort

Malagos Garden Resort offers a lot of fun activities for the families. From their petting zoo to the aviary to the bird show, the inland resort has something for the family. However, one of its unique features is its Chocolate Museum where you will get to know about how choclates are made from bean to bar. You can also create your own chocolate too!

Eden Nature Park & Resort

Considered as one of the most popular inland resorts in Davao City, Eden Nature Park & Resort offers a lot of outdoor activities families can enjoy. One of the great things about the park is the cool climate of its location. Friends and families can enjoy trekking under the lush trees or enjoy good food at their restaurant. For the braver ones, they can enjoy the zipline or the sky swing.

Bamboo Sanctuary and Ecological Park

Tucked within a lush patch of trees and plants in Baguio District is one of the newest tourist sites in Davao City. With its iconic steel dome, refreshing spring pool, and patches of bamboo, the park is great for bonding between the family and among your friends.
