Baguio cops pay tribute to Nana

RETIRING Police Regional Office–Cordillera (PRO-COR) director Brigadier General Rolando Nana was honored by the officers and personnel of the Baguio City Police Office (BCPO).

Nana who served for nine months as Cordillera’s top cop reiterated to the officers and members of the BCPO the discipline of the police and the willingness to serve and protect the citizenry.

“Our stay in the region as director has been very fruitful. What we want to impart is for our policemen to continue to extend public service to our stake holders and our guidance to our policemen,” Nana stated.

Nana has served the government for 37 years, 11 months and 14 days upon his mandatory retirement age of 56 years old on March 15.

“First that I will miss is the wearing of the uniform, the personnel who have been with us on a daily basis. These are the memories that I will remember and cherish after my retirement which will be another journey of my life,” Nana added.

Baguio City Mayor Mauricio Domogan meanwhile reiterated the exemplary service rendered by Nana as regional director.

“There is only one legacy that we want to leave to those we have served and to those I have worked with, it is the service that Rolly Nana have given for 37 year’s being a public servant,” Nana added.

During the command visit, the Director handed out medals to deserving police personnel of BCPO aside from the distribution of firearms, communication units and drone units.

The official retirement and turnover of Command ceremonies is set today, March 15 at Camp Bado Dangwa, in Benguet Province.
