2 high-value drug suspects nabbed

JOINT elements of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) and the Bacolod City Police Station 4 arrested two drug suspects who are considered by authorities as high-value targets yesterday.

Arrested in the buy-bust operation conducted by PDEA and the Philippine National Police in Purok Cheresa 2, Barangay 27, Bacolod City were identified as Joemarie De Asis alias “Joma” or “Jomay” and Niño Nantes Mira, both residents of the barangay.

Confiscated during the said operation were 11 plastic sachets containing suspected shabu weighing five grams. The estimated market value of the haul was P34,748. Also recovered from the suspects were the buy-bust money and improvised tooter with visible traces of suspected shabu.

Cases for violation of RA 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 are now being prepared for filing against the two suspects, PDEA said. (TDE)
