Jong Uichico leads clinic today in Bacolod

SAMAHANG Basketball ng Pilipinas Coaches’ Commission head Jong Uichico arrived in Bacolod City Friday, March 15, for the two-day NBA-SBP Coaches’ Clinic Level 1 Grassroots Coaches.

The clinic will be Saturday and Sunday at the St. John’s Institute gym in Bacolod City.

Uichico is a nine-time Philippine Basketball Association champion coach, a two-time Southeast Asian Games champion mentor and a former Gilas Pilipinas assistant coach.

This event, presented by the Negros Basketball Association, headed by Oscar “Dodong” Bascon, will cater Level 1 grassroots coaches and is highly recommended for Physical Education (PE) teachers and PE majors in both elementary and high school levels.

After attending the two-day clinic, participants will undergo a written exam, which the SBP Coaches’ Commission will check and results of which will be sent to participants through their respective regional director 15 days after the date of examination.

Registration will start at 7:30 a.m. with a fee of P200. There will also be a T-shirt at P350 (optional) and SBP Coaches’ ID processing fee of P200.

Participants must provide two pieces of 2x2 ID picture, colored with white background.
