SM CITY Pampanga’s experiment to bring the best in contemporary music together in 2014 has turned out to be the most exciting musical gathering in the country today as the event is set to invade not just one but 13 SM malls this summer.
The musical event started at SM City Pampanga yesterday, March 16, followed by SM City Tarlac on March 22 and SM City Baliwag on March 23. The award winning touring music festival will jump to SM City Rosales in Pangasinan on March 24; SM City Marilao on March 29; SM City Telabastagan on March 30; SM City San Fernando Downtown on March 31; SM City Cauayan on April 5; SM Center Valenzuela on March 6; SM City Urdaneta on March 7; SM Megacenter Cabanatuan on April 12; SM City Cabanatuan on April 13 and finally back to SM City Clark on April 14.
The event will feature the usual genre of rock, pop, indie, hip-hop and dance music from different artists and music artists.
Due to its obvious success and the unbelievable line up last year, there was a sudden demand to have another version of the event this year which SM City Pampanga organizers said would be a yearly thing as long as people would clamor for it. The event was eventually replicated in other SM malls.
SM City Public Relations Manager Rain Cervantes said that the event aims to highlight the mall’s summer celebration with a perfect gathering of the best bands and performers that the young generation, and even the not-so-young, can easily identify with.
“What’s the best way to beat the summer heat but in afternoon of music and youthful fun,” Cervantes said, as she joined the Generation Y in a myriad of dancing and water splashing.
