I AM in accord with the Palace statement that Miss Universe Catriona Gray is misinformed, relative to the issue of lowering the criminal liability to age twelve.
Her opposition is based mainly on the fact that these kids are only forced by circumstances like poverty, broken homes, etc. and as such are not totally responsible for their actuation being young and or at a tender age.
The Catholic Church considers the age of reason at seven years of age and a person at that age is already required to go to the confessional to confess his or her misdeeds. Hence, an opposition to lowering the criminal liability is at variance with what the Universal Church stands.
Miss Gray should also know that the apprehended minors are not to be herded together with drug addicts and hardened criminals, but put inside an institution the condition of which is more of a rehabilitation center than a prison.
