Subdivision guard caught with drugs

A SECURITY guard was arrested in a drug bust conducted by operatives of the Hinigaran Municipal Police Station in Fontana Woods Subdivision, Barangay Gargaro, Hinigaran on Saturday, March 16.

Arrested was Ivan Borbon, 24, a security guard of Standstill Security Agency.

Chief Insp. Jayke Barila, chief of the police station, said that Borbon, who was assigned at Fontana Woods Subdivision, was caught selling shabu (methamphetamine hydrochloride) to an undercover policeman at 10:30 a.m.

Police recovered from Borbon’s possession two sachets of shabu, a cellular phone, drug paraphernalia, the P500 marked money, and one .38 caliber revolver loaded with four live ammunition.

The suspect is detained at the custodial facility of the police station and is facing charges for violation of Republic Act (RA) 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 and RA 10591 in relation to the Commission on Elections gun ban. (MAP)
