Arroyo, Duterte-Carpio to lead grand rally in Isabela

SPEAKER of the House of Representative Gloria Macapagal Arroyo and Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte-Carpio will lead the grand rally of Hugpong ng Pagbabago (HnP) in Isabela town on March 25.

The rally is set at the town plaza and Isabela Cultural Center, which was one of Speaker GMA’s projects in the hometown of her husband, Mike Arroyo, when she was president of the country.

The Arroyo family owns Hacienda Baan in Barangay Guintubhan, Isabela.

Isabela Mayor Joselito Malabor said the town has been preparing for the big event and that the people are happy that HnP chose Isabela to be the venue of the grand rally.

Malabor said that Arroyo allotted P25 million for the gym and it will be inaugurated during her arrival on March 25.

Malabor also said that 12,000 to 15,000 supporters from the fifth district will gather in Isabela for the rally.

Senatorial candidates backed by HnP who are set to arrive on March 25 are former Special Assistant to the President Christopher Lawrence “Bong” Go, Gen. Ronaldo Dela Rosa, Francis Tolentino, Rep. Dong Mangudadato (Maguindanao), Sen. Joseph Victor Ejercito, former senator Jinggoy Estrada, Ilocos Norte Gov. Imee Marcos, Sen. Cynthia Villar, Rep. Pia Cayetano (Taguig), broadcast journalist Jiggy Manicad, former senator Bong Revilla and Sen. Koko Pimentel.

Presumptive fifth district Rep. Marilou Arroyo will welcome SGMA and the senatorial bets, along with HnP founder and leader Duterte-Carpio.

Governor Alfredo Marañon Jr., Negros Occidental Vice Governor Eugenio Jose Lacson, six congressman, mayors and other local officials are also expected to attend the rally.

The event would be HnP’s first campaign sortie in the province.
