THIS year’s Araw ng Dabaw was definitely star-studded. From politicians to celebrities, all of them did not miss the chance to celebrate with the Dabawenyos on its founding anniversary.

One of them is actress and culinary enthusiast Donita Rose who did not miss the chance to cook for the Dabawenyos.

The former MTV host showed off her cooking skills last March 16 at Chimes, in an event organized by Stoneline Cookingware.

Culinary students, mommies, media and vloggers got the chance to try Donita’s special recipe, the Durian chicken curry, apt in line with the Araw celebration.

“I was told that Davao does not have a distinct regional recipe. I’m hoping that my Durian Chicken Curry would be recognized as one of its regional delicacy,” Donita Rose gladly told SunStar Davao, saying that she formulated and cooked her recipe two years ago, also in Davao.

Donita thanked the Dabawenyos for their warm welcome.

The actress said learning how to cook is a requirement for everyone, since everybody eats.

But she also said that having the right kitchen utensils, especially frying pan, must be considered, as it might pose health hazards.

“You have to be aware of the contents of the ingredients that you use, especially when heat is involved. When you heat up a frying pan, and it’s not made up of products (that are high quality), these things can get into your food, and it causes cancer,” Donita said.

With that, she said that Stoneline Cookingware best fits for her cooking standards.

Donita proudly said, “I like the product a lot. I do believe that there’s a lot of products, pag na-i-scratch na, nag-i-inject na ng carcinogens into your food. Sa Stoneline, kahit na ma-iscratch siya, stone siya eh. Walang mangyayari. As a matter of fact, the pan gets better with age.”

Meanwhile, Jessica Lagman, general manager of Everstrong, that exclusive distributor of Stoneline Hydrogen Cookingware, said that having Donita Rose as of the brand ambassador, speaks what the brand represents.

“Of course, we love the feeling that she’s like family to us. And that is how we want our customers to feel, because as you know, our products are very focused on health. And when it comes to our family, we wanted to take care of everybody’s health,” Lagman said.

She said that the product, originally in Germany, is a natural product, guaranteed safe as it is chemically free and would make cooking not only taste better, but also healthier.

“Even if you’re a newbie in cooking, at least ma-experience mo na ang high quality cookware that even professionals use. But you don’t have to spend so much for it, because it’s a very accessible product,” Lagman said.

With the rising demand for quality cooking wares, she hopes that Stoneline will the top of mind brand in the country, in the future.
