A PHARMACY has strengthened its presence in Negros and Panay Islands through a raffle promo, which also marked its 47th year anniversary in the drug store business.

Unilab Inc. sales manager JP Sta. Ana, on the sidelines of the awarding of the promo’s grand prizes at Italia Restaurant in Bacolod City on Wednesday, March 20, said Grace Pharmacy has banked on such innovation to further position the drug store as a market leader.

The pharmacy has collaborated with Unilab for its anniversary promo dubbed “Love ka gid sang Grace Pharmacy, 47th Anniversary Raffle Promo.”

Sta. Ana said the goal is mainly to make customers loyal to Grace Pharmacy by buying Unilab products.

“With about 23,000 raffle entries from all over Negros and Panay, the company believes that it has a good reception in these local areas,” he added.

The pharmacy accepted entries from October 2018 until February 2019.

Under the promo, which covers 72 branches of Grace Pharmacy in Negros and Panay, customers automatically availed themselves of a P30 discount when they bought any participating Unilab products worth P300.

Also, this entitled them to raffle coupon.

“We want Grace Pharmacy customers to have instant gratification that right away they will have a discount of P30, at the same time they will go back knowing that there’s a raffle,” Sta. Ana said.

The grand raffle draw was held in Bacolod City on March 15.

Housewife Jerilou Samulde, 35, of Barangay 4 in Silay City, won the trip for two in Singapore plus a pocket money of P20,000.

Samulde, whose husband is an overseas Filipino worker, said she purchased P1,000 worth of products at a Grace Pharmacy outlet in Silay City last January.

She was just informed by a cashier that there’s a raffle promo so she filled out the coupon.

“I never expected to win, but it would be a great help for our family especially in our daily needs,” she said, adding that if possible, she wants her prize converted to cash.

Another grand prize winner is also from Negros Occidental.

Alicia Boteros, 56, of Barangay Madalag in E.B Magalona town won a brand new car.

Boteros, a widow, said she has been buying medicines at Grace Pharmacy in Victorias City. She started to join the raffle just in February.

“This is the only raffle promo I joined in my whole life. With my small sari-sari store, I never expected to have a car,” Boteros quipped, as she thanked the pharmacy and its partners.

The grand winners received their prizes from Grace Pharmacy owner Ian Lo, Unilab Inc. representatives, and Toyota - Negros marketing professional Michael Louise Deocadiz.

Prior to the grand draw, the drug store has earlier given away prices including five winners each of P5,000 worth of groceries and Samsung Galaxy J8 phones during the monthly draws.

Sta. Ana said because of the success of the program, they are planning to have another run of such promotion during the second semester of this year.
