A COORDINATOR of a small town lottery (STL) survived a gun attack although wounded in Pagadian City, Zamboanga del Sur, the police said Friday, March 22.
The Zamboanga del Sur Provincial Police Office identified the victim as Felicisimo Ybañez, 43, a coordinator of STL in Molave in that province.
The police said the gun attack happened around 8 p.m. Thursday along the national highway at Purok 2 in Sudlon village, Molave.
Investigation showed the victim was driving motorcycle when shot with a caliber .45 pistol by one of two men on another motorcycle that tailed the victim.
The police said that Ybañez, although wounded, managed to seek help of residents nearby and was rushed to the hospital for treatment.
Investigation continues in a bid to establish the motive as well as the identities of the suspects, who fled after the incident, the police added. (Bong Garcia/SunStar Philippines)
