AN ALLEGED asset of the Philippine Army was shot to death by an unidentified assailant in Barangay Igmaya-an, Salvador Benedicto, Negros Occidental Wednesday.
Police identified the fatality as Florencio Cañete, 59, of Barangay Igmaya-an.
Investigation showed that the victim was riding a horse on his way home at 7 p.m. when the assailant fired at him.
Cañete succumbed to multiple gunshot wounds.
The gunman is still at large. (MAP)
