FAMED director Carlo J. Caparas attended the funeral services of Christine Lee Silawan on Saturday, March 23, describing the horrific fate of Christine as "incomparable."

Caparas said that out of all the films he has directed about massacres, the case of Silawan is by far the worst he has ever heard.

"Walang katulad ang inabot ni Christine. Sa dinami ng ginawa kong crime movies...this is more than that. Ibang klase," Caparas said.

(The fate of Christine is incomparable. Of all the crime movies I've directed.. this is more than that. Horrible.)

Caparas believes that the investigation on the case is still disjointed and remains unsolved.

"Wala pang resultang totoo na makakakampante sa tao, sa loob ng katulad ko," Caparas added.

(There'still no result that will satisfy the people, satisfy a guy like me.")

When asked about the possibility of a film, Caparas said that the Silawan case must be resolved first.

"First and foremost, kailangan munang ma-solve itong kasong ito at nang matulungan ang pamilya makamove-on. Saka na siguro pag-usapan ang dapat pag-usapan," he said.

(First and foremost, the case must first be resolved and the family must move-on from the incident. Then we can talk what should be talked about.)

Caparas is dubbed the "True-to-Life Story King" and has directed films inspired by real events like "Vizconde Massacre" and "Lipa 'Arandia' Massacre: Lord Deliver Us From Evil."

He added that the film industry will lend a helping hand to the family of Christine.

Caparas once drew flak from netizens when he visited the wake of Silawan last March 15, when he first revealed that he was contemplating on making a movie about the teenager.

Although he did not provide an official announcement, many criticized the director for thinking ahead and for being insensitive as the family was still grieving.
