TWO people were killed and one was critically injured in a vehicular accident in the province of Zamboanga del Norte, the police said.

The Zamboanga Peninsula Police Office (ZPPO) said the incident took place around 8 p.m. Thursday along the highway of Liloy town in Zamboanga del Norte.

The ZPPO identified the fatalities as Wilfredo Sigmundo, 45, and Jonathan Daud, 32, both of Ipil town, the capital of Zamboanga Sibugay province.

Critically wounded was Alfonso Oliperio, who was admitted in the hospital.

The ZPPO said the victims were aboard a Tamaraw FX on the way home to Ipil town coming from Dipolog City when they met the fatal incident.

The vehicle hit into a tree when it overrun on a blind curve. The driver lost control of the steering wheel, the ZPPO said.

Police added that the victims were rushed to the hospital by concerned residents in the area but Sigmundo and Daud were declared dead on arrival. (Bong Garcia)
