“YES She Can!”
Marking International Women’s Day at the lobby lounge of the Radisson Blu Cebu, was an intimate afternoon get-together with business partners and members of the media.
Exquisitely decorated with a combination of dainty pastel colors, the event venue was full of lively conversation with an added range of sweet and savory treats to choose from, as well as refreshing drinks, featuring the month’s featured cocktail: Tickled Pink Frosé.
The welcome remarks were made by the Radisson Blu Cebu’s general manager Stephan Sieberg, who playfully quipped about the irony of a man like himself to officially welcome the guests to an all-women’s gathering! He completed his address by stating the wise words of former US Secretary of State, Hillary Rodham Clinton: “Women are the largest untapped reservoir of talent in this world.”
Delightful treats included a specialized perfume bar by Peer Scents, where guests chose their very own party favor from seven different scents and filling it into a small glass bottle atomizer to take home. There was also the personalized sketch of a fashion ensemble, all skillfully drawn by talented young illustrator Elle Abellana.
Held annually and observed around the globe since the early 1900s, this day purely dedicated to celebrating everything there is about women has certainly come a very long way.
