THE Lions handed league-leading Rams their first loss of Season 14 of the Elite Basketbl Club Cebu with a convincing 89-79 win last Friday, March 22, at the Visayan Glass Basketball Gym in Guadalupe.
The Lions had a strong first half, outscoring the Rams, 50-36.
The Rams, however, came out strong after halftime and trimmed the lead to just four points, 60-56.
The Lions kept their composure and held on to the lead with a strong fourth quarter finish. Jefford Aldave dropped 21 points to lead the Lions.
Jon Chua added 14, while Rob Abayon and Jonathan Reyes chipped in 12 apiece.
Phalang Linda led the Rams with 20 markers, Winly Bensin contributed 16, Harmsway Molina scored 13 and Gave Dayanon added 11.
The Lions improved to 2-2, while the Rams dropped to 3-1. (EKA)
