JUNIOR League Negros First whipped Guinolayan, 15-0, and Manapla National High School Girls, 7-2, over the weekend in the 3rd Negros First Governor Alfredo Marañon Jr. inter-barangay softball tournament at the Field of Dreams, Hacienda Lourdes, Barangay Punta Mesa in Manapla town.
Major League Negros First was shocked by Manapla National High School Boys, 3-8, on Saturday, March 23, but recovered next day with a 7-0 domination of Lourdes Calubihan.
Other results saw Lourdes Proper beating Calubihan, 9-2; Hacienda Craft Gaston lording over Manapla National High School Girls, 15-9, in opening day.
Hacienda Craft Gaston outscored Hacienda Dos Hermanos, 11-7, and Hacienda Gaston Maral nipped Manapla NHS Boys, 22-19, in this summer league played only on weekends.
