A VILLAGE watchman man was arrested by police operatives for illegal possession of firearms at Hacienda Balatong, Barangay Bulad, Isabela, Negros Occidental on Saturday.
Police identified the suspect as Charlie Jordan, 20, of Barangay Libas, Isabela.
The police said they were informed that Jordan was seen carrying unlicensed firearms at the vicinity of Barangay Crossing Magallon, Moises Padilla.
When the operatives arrived in the area, Jordan immediately boarded his motorcycle and tried to escape.
Jordan was cornered at Hacienda Balatong, Barangay Bulad, Isabela, the police said.
Police recovered from Jordan’s possession one 9mm pistol with magazine loaded with four live ammunition.
The suspect was detained at the custodial facility of Moises Padilla Municipal Police Station and will be facing charges for violation of Republic Act 10591 in relation to Commission on Election gun ban. (MAP)
